The Table House Church is an intimate Christian fellowship devoted to deep relationship with Jesus and each other and acting on everything He instructs.

MISSION: Deep Discipleship and Activation

God's call on Awakened To Life is to go deep with people in all of our ministries. The Table House Church fulfills that call through intentional community—knowing and becoming known, active discovery vs. passive consumption, and purpose-driven growth and activation.

VISION FOR GATHERING: Groups of Twelve

When God prophetically called us to birth The Table, He told us to gather in groups of twelve. Once a consistent group of twelve is established, we raise up leaders within the group to birth fellowships in their houses, and continue to add and multiply.

How We Gather at The Table

We begin with lunch. Everyone who is a member shares in preparing the meal. To keep it interesting and fun, we choose a "food theme" for each week and coordinate who provides each dish.

During lunch, we share positive testimonies of what God has done in our lives over the past week. We also update each other on present happenings and share stories to know each other better.

We worship, we take communion, engage in Scripture dialogue, activate in one of our spiritual gifts, and pray for each other—not necessarily in that order, and not all in every gathering. Sometimes, God says to simply enjoy Him and each other with no agenda. So we do!

Between gatherings, we encourage and support each other in the good works God has prepared for each of us.

We encourage each other to practice daily living by the Holy Spirit and living prophetically with others.

Some of us also volunteer to serve in Awakened To Life's Healing Rooms Ministry.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What do you mean by "truth discovered is more powerful than truth delivered?"

At The Table, we act on Jesus' teachings in Matthew 7:24 – "So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock" and John 8:31 – "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."

The truth we obey in our actions has much more power and effect in our lives than the truth we only hear or read. "Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works." (James 2:26) We are made new in Christ so that we might walk in the good works God prepared for us to do with Him (Ephesians 2:10) Our purpose, calling, and destiny are found in that walk with Him.

2. Why do you ask people to apply to attend your house church gatherings?

Our direction from the Lord is to build faithful groups of Jesus followers in groups of twelve, much like He did with his apostles. The best fit for our house church group is a person who is committed to studying the Word, engaging in dialogue to discover the truth in the Word, willing to train and practice exercising the empowerment given by the Holy Spirit, and actively pursue God's calling and the good works He prepared for them to do with Him.

This is the narrow way to life Jesus describes in Matthew 7:14. He says only a few will choose to follow it. The Table is a fit for people who make that choice.

We don't "attend" our gatherings at The Table; we wholeheartedly participate in building one another up through wisdom, understanding, and living prophetically with each other for mutual strengthening, encouragement, and comfort. All with the goal to be "sent" to the spaces and people God has prepared for us and bring the Kingdom of God to them.

3. Is "house church" another name for a small group Bible study?

We don't speak for what other groups who call themselves "house churches" do.

The word "church" in the original Greek of the New Testament is ekklesia (or ecclesia), a word Jesus used when He said to Peter, "upon this rock I will build my ekklesia." In those days, the word ekklesia named groups of people or institutions who operated in a secular governmental capacity. Jesus established His ekklesia to bring the government of His Kingdom––the Law of Love––to individuals, communities, and the ends of the earth.

The Table House Church community is dedicated to equipping ourselves to be sent to the spaces and people God has prepared for us to go. The goal: to help people know Jesus and act on everything He teaches, so that life in His Kingdom continues to spread in our homes, communities, and organizations we belong to.

4. How large are your gatherings?

Our initial vision, which God has confirmed multiple times, is to establish The Table as a faithful group of twelve members. When we grow beyond twelve, our vision is to raise up leaders God has appointed to establish their own house church, ultimately forming a network of house churches in the Tri-Valley region (Conejo, Simi, Moorpark) of Ventura County.

5. How do you train your people to prophesy?

Our leaders are certified by Prophetic Company, founded by Dan McCollam and Bethany Hicks, as Activate Prophetic Trainers. Also, Jill Ricci is a Certified Prophetic Practitioner through the Global Awakening College of Ministry. Our training model mirrors how Jesus trained His disciples: tell, show, activate, and evaluate/adjust.

6. How do you oversee your people engaging in prophetic ministry?

The New Testament gives us clear guidelines and responsibilities that apply to both the givers and receivers of prophetic words. We also teach and activate Scripture-based protocols to guide both sides of the prophetic exchange. We give ourselves room to "not get it right" as we practice and grow in our use of the gift of prophecy.

7. Do you do healing and deliverance ministry during your gatherings?

We do not engage in extended healing or deliverance during our house gatherings. Awakened To Life, parent ministry of The Table, offers Healing Rooms and Freedom Encounter ministries to help those whose needs for healing and deliverance require individual attention in a safe, confidential, and judgment-free space.

Our Leaders

Dennis and Jill Ricci

Dennis and Jill are the Directors of Awakened To Life and the leaders of The Table Community. Our first gathering was at the end of January 2024, and they and The Table were commissioned by the Global Awakening Network, founded by Dr. Randy Clark.

Dennis is an ordained Minister of the Gospel through the International Association of Healing Rooms, and a certified Leadership and Personal Growth Coach and Trainer through Maxwell Leadership Certified Team.

Jill is licensed and ordained as Minister of the Gospel by the Global Awakening Network. She is also a Certified Master Equipper of Christian Healing and Certified Prophetic Practitioner through Global Awakening College of Ministry, and an Activate Certified Trainer through Prophetic Company, founded by Dan McCollam and Bethany Hicks.
